iOS 14.4 - Device manually set to Beirut time
Date: 02/17/21
Description:
With iOS 14.4, if the device is manually set to Beirut time, the Calendar app will crash if the user tries to set a new alarm.
In short: setting the device to Beirut time appears to have serious problems with iOS 14.4, and results in the user being unable to set a new alarm.
This reproduced for me on two different iPhones an (iPhone 6 and an iPhone 8) running iOS 14.4. This does NOT reproduce on an iPad running 12.3.1.
There is a thread about this online, so it seems as if a great many users are experiencing this issue.
Here's a video of the problem:
.@AppleSupport - with iOS 14.4, setting the device’s time to Beirut seems to completely break the ability to set a new alarm... pic.twitter.com/65tG4vntW6

There seems to be a single other mention of this on Twitter:
So there's a bug affecting any iPhone on iOS 14 on the Beirut time zone whereby setting a new alarm will crash the Clock app and the Calendar app crashes on launch. I wonder how that happened. https://t.co/idPCSSjSis

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On an iOS device running 14.4, head to settings
2. Select "General"
3. Select "Date & Time"
4. De-select the "Set Automatically" option
5. Select "Time Zone"
6. Enter in "Beirut, Lebanon" and select as time
7. Exit out of Settings and select "Clock"
8. Select "Alarm"
9. Select the "+" in the upper right
Result: With iOS 14.4, if the user changes the device's time zone setting to "Beirut, Lebanon" the Clock app will crash if the user tries to set a new alarm. The user is unable to set a new alarm if the Time Zone setting of the iOS 14.4 device is set to "Beirut, Lebanon"
