flySEA app for iOS: Searches for Single Characters Crashes App

Description:

The flySEA app for iOS has an easily reproducible crash. If the user searches for single characters in the search box, the app crashes.




Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and launch the flySEA app for iOS 

2. Click inside the "Enter flight number, city, airport or airline" search box

3. From the "Add a Flight" screen, enter in a single character "a" into the search box

4. Click on blue "Search" button on the keyboard

Result: the flySEA app crashes if the user runs a search for a single character from search input box on the "Add a Flight" screen

Expected: the flySEA app should not crash if the user runs a search for a single character in the search input box 



Download and launch the flySEA app for iOS.


Click inside of the "Enter flight number, city, airport or airline" input box.


Enter in a single character and select search: the app crashes.

Vinovest app for iOS: New Account - App Crashes After Selecting "Transactions" Under the Wine Section

Vinovest app for iOS (version 1.37.0)

Description:

The Vinovest app for iOS continually crashes for me. This occurs after I select the "Transactions" option under the wine section.

This happens to me after I select the "Wine: Let our sommeliers & algorithm build your wine portfolio."area of the app.


Select the Wine portion of the app...


Select "Transactions"

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch the Vinovest app for iOS

2. Log-in with Apple ID account

3. Select the "Wine: Let our sommeliers & algorithm build your wine portfolio."option

4. Select "transactions"

Result: With a newly created Vinovest account, the Vinovest app crashes after I select the "Transactions" option under the Wine section 

Expected: The Vinovest app for iOS should not crash after the user selects the "Transactions" option 


Launch the app...

Select the "Wine" option...

Select the "Transactions" option.

Dynamite app for iOS: App Crashes After "Find a Store" is Selected

Dynamite app for iOS (version 3.26)

Description:

The Dynamite app for iOS (version 3.26) continually crashes when the user selects the "Find a store" option. I am using the app outside of the US and Canada, but regardless, no app that is downloadable from the Apple App Store should crash if a user attempts to use it.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch the Dynamite app for iOS (version 3.26)
2. Select the search box at the top of the screen 
3. Select "Find a store"

Result: The Dynamite app for iOS (version 3.26) crashes for me, after I select the "Find a store" option 

Expected: The Dynamite app for iOS (version 3.26) should not crash after the user selects the "Find a store" option

Vylo app for iOS: App crashes if camera switcher activated while camera permissions disabled

Vylo app for iOS (version 1.1.20)

Description:

There is an easy to reproduce crash with the current version (1.1.20) of the Vylo app for iOS. This app happens if the user declines camera access and then enters into the Record Video screen and selects the camera switch option. 

I always attempt this with every app that I download, and this was the rare (perhaps only) time that it crashes an iOS app. Here's a link to a video of the crash. 

Download the Vylo app and set it so that the app does NOT have camera access.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a Vylo account

2. Decline camera access 

3. With camera access declined, select "+ Create"

4. Select "Record Video"

5. From the AVCam prompt, select "OK"

6. Select the Camera Switch option in the bottom right corner of the screen

Result: The Vylo app will crash if the use selects the camera switch option with camera access declined 

Expected: App should not crash if the camera switch option is activate with camera access declined 

With camera access declined, select the "+ Create" option...

With camera access declined, select "Record Video"

Select the "OK" option...

The app will crash after the camera switch option is activated. This is a rare crash, as I do this with every app I download and have never seen this particular crash, to my recollection.

IZIon24: Bảo hiểm bỏ túi app for iOS (version 1.0.84)

Description:

IZIon24: Bảo hiểm bỏ túi is a Vietnamese insurance app that is available to download from the Apple App Store. The app has English and Vietnamese language options. 

The app seems to always crash when the user selects the "Guest Mode" option, and then selects the FAQ.

Take a look at the following screenshots:

Select the "Continue as Guest" option at the bottom of the screen....



Select the "FAQ" - the app will crash.


Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and launch the IZIon24: Bảo hiểm bỏ túi app for iOS

2. Select the "Continue as Guest" option (English or Vietnamese)

3. Select the "FAQ"

Result: Selecting the FAQ in theIZIon24: Bảo hiểm bỏ túi app for iOS crashes the app

Expected: Select the FAQ should not crash the app

iOS 14.7: Mail App: App crashes if you exit out of Yahoo or Aol account creation and then return to the app

Description:

This one is much easier to show than it is to describe. There is an extremely easy way to crash the native mail app.

Here's the crash dump:


This crash is easy to reproduce. It happens when the user first launches the native mail app for iOS. The mail app presents the user with multiple options. If the user selects either Yahoo or Aol. they will be presented with an option to use create a new Yahoo or Aol. account. If they exit out of account creation, and then re-launch the app, the app always seems to crash.





Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download the native Mail app for iOS

2. From the "Welcome to Mail" screen select "yahoo!"

3. From the "Yahoo!" sign in page, select the "Create an account" option 

4. Press the home button to exit out the app

5. Wait 10 seconds and re-launch the app 

6. Select "Cancel" to dismiss the Yahoo! account creation option 

7. Wait 1 second - app crashes at "Welcome to Mail" screen


Result: There is an easy way to crash the native mail app - if you exit out of the app while it sits on the Yahoo! or Aol. account creation options, the app will crash if it is relaunched 

Expected: The native mail app shouldn't be this easy to crash


Select either "Yahoo!" or "Aol."

Select "Create an account"...

Exit out of the app - leave this screen...

Re-launch the Mail app after a while...

The app will crash after "Cancel" is selected.

Minneapolis Star Tribune app for iOS: Continually Crashes

I spotted this tweet today on Twitter:


After reading this tweet, a was curious, so I decided to download the Star Tribune app for iOS myself. This user is absolutely correct - the app just continually crashes.

I took a video of what this looks like:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download the Star Tribune app for iOS
2. Scroll through the app and select a featured article 

Result: The Minneapolis Star Tribune app for iPhone is very unstable 

Expected: Should work, especially if users are paying for digital access

iMovie for iOS: Repeated crashes from editing the LINE and TITLE text option

Description:

I keep getting the same crash with the current version of the iMovie app for iPhone. 

This crash keeps occurring for me while I am editing a movie on the "My Movie" edit screen. 

Here's a video of the crash:



Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open iMovie

2. Start a new New Movie project

3. Select "Movie" 

4. Select any video "Recently Added" - Select "Create Movie"

5. Scroll to the start of the film and select the "T" for text

6. From the text options, scroll to the right and select LINE/TITLE

7. Select the top "TITLE TEXT HERE" option and select "Edit"

8. Exit out of iMovie by pressing home twice

9. Copy text out of Facebook Messenger

10. Select the bottom "Title Text Here" and select "Edit"


Result: the iMovie app for iOS keeps crashing for me after I try to edit the bottom line of the "LINE/TITLE" text option - crash seems to happen after I exit out of app, copy text from FB Messenger, and then return into the app to Paste the text

Expected: No crash!

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana for iOS: Password reset option crashes the app

Description:

The Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana app for iOS keeps crashing for me when I submit a password reset request.

Here's the crash dump:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and launch the Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana app for iOS

2. Select the Envelope icon

3. From the "LOGIN WITH EMAIL" screen select "Forgot?"

4. From the SIGN-IN HELP" screen enter in any email address (example: "test@gmail.com") and press the "Submit" button 

Result: the password reset option doesn't work - entering in a password results in the app crashing 

Expected: the password reset option for the Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana app should work - it shouldn't crash the app 

Download and launch the app....

Select the envelope option...

Select the "Forgot" option...

Enter in a valid email address (or even a blank space) and press "Submit"

The app crashes.

iOS 14.4: Beirut time - Cannot set a new alarm if the time is set to Beirut time

 iOS 14.4 - Device manually set to Beirut time

Description:

With iOS 14.4, if the device is manually set to Beirut time, the Calendar app will crash if the user tries to set a new alarm.

In short: setting the device to Beirut time appears to have serious problems with iOS 14.4, and results in the user being unable to set a new alarm. 

This reproduced for me on two different iPhones an (iPhone 6 and an iPhone 8) running iOS 14.4. This does NOT reproduce on an iPad running 12.3.1.

There is a thread about this online, so it seems as if a great many users are experiencing this issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. On an iOS device running 14.4, head to settings

2. Select "General"

3. Select "Date & Time"

4. De-select the "Set Automatically" option 

5. Select "Time Zone"

6. Enter in "Beirut, Lebanon" and select as time

7. Exit out of Settings and select "Clock"

8. Select "Alarm"

9. Select the "+" in the upper right

Result: With iOS 14.4, if the user changes the device's time zone setting to "Beirut, Lebanon" the Clock app will crash if the user tries to set a new alarm. The user is unable to set a new alarm if the Time Zone setting of the iOS 14.4 device is set to "Beirut, Lebanon"



Set the "Time Zone" setting to "Beirut"...

With the Time Zone set to "Beirut" select the "+" option...


The app crashes!!!

EatOkra app for iOS: Selecting certain Privacy Policy and Terms of Service links crashes the app

Description:

I keep getting an easy to reproduce crash with the EatOkra app for iOS. This crash happens for me whenever I select the "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" links on a certain account creation screen.

Steps to Reprdouce:

1. Download and launch the EatOkra app

2. Select "Profile"

3. On the "Create Your Personal Account" screen, select either "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy"

Result: The EatOkra app crashes if the user selects either "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" on the "Create Your Personal Account" screen

Expected: The EatOkra app should not crash after the user selects either "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" on the "Create Your Personal Account" screen

 


Download and launch the app...


Select the "Profile" option...


Select either the "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" links.

Curtsy app for iOS: Easy to reproduce crash after cancelling out of and re-opening share option

Description:

There is an easy to reproduce crash with the Curtsy app for iOS.

I would guess that the easy way o describe it is that anytime the share sheet for a product is select consecutively, the app crashes. 

This is easier to show than to describe, so please take a look at this video:


Here's the crash dump:





Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and launch the app

2. Create an account and enter into the app

3. Select any individual product

4. From any product's detail page, select the share option 

5, Select "Cancel" to dismiss the share sheet

6. Select the share option a second time

Result: Closing the share sheet and then selecting the share option a second time crashes the app

Expected: Opening and closing the share sheet option from any product should not crash the app

There's a crash with the current version of the Lombardo's PizzaPar-Restaurant app for iOS. The app will crash after the user taps on a map icon that appears on the landing page after the app is first launched.

1. Download the Lombardo's PizzaBar-Restaurant app 

2. Tap the map icon on the landing screen


Result: The Lombardo's PizzaBar-Restaurant app crashes if the user taps on the map icon on the landing screen

Expected: The Lombardo's PizzaBar-Restaurant app should not crash after the map icon on the landing screen is tapped



Launch the Lombardo's PizzaBar-Restaurant app for iOS...


Tap on the map icon on the landing screen. The app crashes.

Facebook Gaming app for iOS: App crashes if you send a link using the FB Messenger opition

Description:

I tried out the new Facebook Gaming app for iOS today. I keep getting a crash. This crash happens for me every time I send a link to a live stream using the in-app Facebook Messenger share option.

Here's the crash dump:


Steps to Reproduce:

1. Using an iPhone 8 running iOS 13.6, launch the app and sign in
2. Select a live stream
3. Select the share option from a live stream
4. Select the "Share to Group" Facebook Messenger option
5. Select any one person from the Facebook Messenger list
6. Send the invite

Result: The Facebook Gaming app for iOS crashes if the user sends a link to a live stream

Expected: The Facebook Gaming app for iOS should not crash if the user sends a link to a live stream

Launch the Facebook Gaming app for iOS (iPhone 8 running iOS 13.6)...

Select any live stream...

Select any live stream...

Select the Share option...

Send to any person... the app crashes.
