User is left stranded here in Apple Music. This is a blank Apple Music playlist located at: https://music.apple.com/us/curator/five-guys/1542822234

I managed to copy the link from the Five Guys Android app (why am Android app would link to an Apple Music playlist is another issue):

Expected: if there is an Apple Music icon displayed inside of the Five Guys Burgers & Fries iOS app, then it should link to a working page/playlist inside of Apple Music

Select the option in the upper left hand corner of the screen...

Select the Apple Music icon as indicated in this screenshot.

Please Note: Interestingly enough, the Five Guys website has an icon that leads to a working Spotify playlist.

KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app for iOS: User Stranded on Terms or Service and Privacy Policy Pages if Links Accessed from "One more step." Screen

 iOS 18.5

KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app for iOS (version 10.0.2)

04/13/2025

Description:

There's an easy to reproduce functional bug with the KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app (version 10.0.2) for iOS.

During the account creation process, the user lands a page with the text "One more step." at the top of the screen. This page looks like this:

At the bottom of this page there are two links: a "Terms of Service" link and a "Privacy Policy" link. they look like this:

Selecting either the "Terms of Service" link or the "Privacy Policy" link do take the user to valid and readable terms or service and privacy policies, but....

They appear to strand the user on these pages. I cannot find a way to back out of them - I can't see an arrow and the "swiping to return" option does not appear to work. In essence the user is stranded and the account creation process appears to be impossible to complete.

After selecting the "Terms of Use" link from the "One more step." screen, the user is stranded here. I can't figure out a way (no back button, not "Swiping to return") to return back to the app to complete the account creation process.

This is not an optimal end user experience as all users should have the ability to peruse the privacy policies and terms of service or a service before passing over personal information.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download and launch the KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app for iOS

2. From the "Start listening for free" screen select "Sign up for free"

3. From the "KIRONewsradio" sign-in pop-up select "Continue"

4. From the auth.users.bonneville.com pop-up select the "Continue with Apple" option

5. Select "Sign in"' and advance to the "One more step." screen

6. From the "One more step." screen select either the "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" links

7. Attempt to exit from these screens, back to the iOS in order to complete the account creation process

Result: Users of the KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app for iOS will become stranded on the "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" screens if these links are accessed from the "One more step." screen during the account creation process.

Expected: Users of the KIRO Newsradio 97.3 app for iOS should never become stranded on "Terms of Service" or "Privacy Policy" screens during the account creation process inside the iOS app.

Le Chat by Mistral AI app for iOS: Cancelling out of Facebook Messenger pop-up results in a successfully shared message

 iOS 18.5

Le Chat by Mistral AI app for iOS (version 1.0.17)

05/26/2025

Description:

The Le Chat by Mistral AI app has a common problem. If the user cancels out of the Facebook Messenger prompt (without sharing a link to a Le Chat generated thread) then the app still displays a message that the chat was successfully shared.

You will receive a "Link shared successfully" message even if the user has not shared anything.

This problem has happened before with other apps. I believe that this is a problem with the Facebook Share SDK

This is easier to show than to describe, so please see the screenshots below.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch the Le Chat by Mistral AI app for iOS

2.  Select the "Sign in" option

3. Select "Sign in with Apple" and log in with a valid account

4. Select "Ask le Chat" and enter in any prompt (Example: "Prompt: tell me the history of the Fourth Republic of France."

5. Choose the drop down menu from the top of the screen

6. Select the "Share" option

7. Select "Share Link" from the "Share your conversation" pop-up

8. From the iOS share menu, select "Messenger"

9. From the Messenger menu select "Done" without selecting another user

10. Return to Le Chat app via back arrow

Result: A "Link shared successfully" message is displayed (even after nothing has been shared) inside of the Le Chat iOS app after the user exits Facebook Messenger and returns to the Le Chat iOS app

Expected: A "Link shared successfully" message should not be displayed if the user has NOT shared links using Facebook Messenger

Ask Le Chat a question to generate a shareable link. Select the share option to activate the iOS share UI. Select the Facebook Messenger option...

Do NOT shared anything (user has second doubts about sharing) use the done to exit out of sharing menu, and return to the app...

The Le Chat app displays a success message ("Link shared successfully") even though nothing was shared. This is a bad end user experience. I believe it is related to this documented issue

Google Gemini for iOS: "ALLOW: Notifications" and "NOTIFICATIONS: ON" Prompts Fools Gemini into Providing a Misleading Response that Notifications Have Been Activated When They Haven't

 iOS 18.3.2

Google Gemini app for iOS (version 1.2025.1370008)

04/16/2025

Description:

Here's an oddity! Google Gemini has an iPhone app that I have been using quite a bit lately.

Out of curiosity, I began cycling through commands in an attempt to activate iOS-device specific functions without the required system dialogues.

For example: attempting to open the camera by entering "OPEN: Camera" as a command. In almost all instances I tried, Google Gemini reacted as expected. No functionality of the device that have requirements placed upon them for Apple App Store approval were violated.

There is, however, an oddity related to commands about notifications!

Two commands, those being: "ALLOW: Notifications" and "NOTIFICATIONS: ON" result in a misleading response from Google Gemini regarding notifications.

Google Gemini replies with: "Okay, notifications are now allowed."

The command of "ALLOW: Notifications" results in a misleading response from the Google Gemini app. A response of "Okay, notifications are now allowed." - implying iOS notifications for the app have now been approved by the user.

Here's a screenshot of my notification settings for the Google Gemini app. I never approved notification permission, even after the app tells me that "Okay, notifications are now allowed." Bad end user experience!

Even though the app is telling me that "notifications are now allowed" this is not the case because I never approved this using the iOS prompt for notifications.

Multiple ways to Reproduce this, and I think this is an issue with what the user is expecting vis-a-vis the device and what the app interprets from the question. But here's one way to reproduce:

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download the app for the first time
2. From the "Gemini" Would Like to Send You Notifications" prompt, select "Don't Allow"
3. Enter in the prompt: "ALLOW: notifications"
4. Note that Gemini replies with: "Okay, notifications are now allowed."
5. Exit out of the app and head to iOS settings
6. Head to "Apps" and select "Gemini"
7. Notice that Notifications access is disabled and access has NOT been permitted

Result: The Google Gemini app has a bad (misleading) reply to the prompts of "ALLOW: Notifications" and "NOTIFICATIONS: ON" - the app always seems to reply with "Okay, notifications are now allowed" even though are not permitted

Expected: The Google Gemini app should provide consistent messaging - it should reply with a response about HOW to enable notification on an iOS device

Result: Dismissing the "Sign in with Apple" pop-up inside of the SVD app disables the app. Screen turns white (or black if the iOS is set to dark mode) and the app becomes completely unresponsive. A hard reboot of the app is necessary to get it working again

Expected: App should never enter into an unresponsive state. Dismissing the Apple Sign-in should not disable the app

Download and launch the SVD app for iOS...

Select the "Continue with Apple" option...

Cancel the pop-up menu by selecting the "X" option...

The user becomes stuck on this screen. App seems (?) to be permanently disabled.
