Auction.com app for iOS: Bad location data for Merced, California, entities

Here's an example of how missing data can cause cascading problems related to real estate listings.

To make a long story short, I will provide a simple example: the Auction.com app appears to not recognize a number of Starbucks locations in the town of Merced, California.

The Auction.com app is currently listing 1038 Kiwi Court as home in foreclosure. The "Neighborhood" information for this address states that the nearest Starbucks is 12.47 miles away. This is completely inaccurate, as there is a Starbucks directly down the street at 779 E Yosemite Avenue.

Most of the Neighborhood data (hospitals, museums, etc.) for entities in Merced is wrong.

While this might not seem like that huge of an issue, it certainly would impact how a buyer views the prospective value of a property. And, as a user of the app, is there any way for me to report this error?



Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch the Auction.com app for iOS - log in with a valid Auction.com account
2. Search for Merced, California
3. Click on the entity located at 1038 Kiwi Court
4. From 1038 Kiwi Court's detail page, scroll down and select "Neighborhood"
5. Scroll down to "Community Highlights"
6. Look at the "Going Out" section
7. Note that the nearest "Starbucks" location is listed as being 12.47 miles away
8. Go to Google and note that there is a Starbucks located at 779 E Yosemite Avenue - which is a half mile away from 1038 Kiwi Court

Result: Much of the data Neighborhood data for listings in Merced, California is very wrong. Large number of entities (hospitals, Starbucks, etc.) do not seem to be listed in Merced

Expected: Merced-specific location information should be accurate

Head to a listing like this one in Merced, California...

Take a look at the "Community Highlights" section for this listing. It states that the nearest Starbucks is a whopping 12.47 miles away. This is totally wrong - the nearest Starbucks is less than half a mile. The hospital data is incorrect also.

Go to Google. You can see that there is a Starbucks close to 1038 Kiwi Court in Merced.
